Hi everyone!

After a little break, we're catching up on 2 weeks of news this week!

There's been quite a few releases, including Remix and Next.js, but also some lesser-known packages that are well worth your attention.

Super excited to see Expo finally venturing server-side!

Hi everyone!

This week, the runtimes are in the spotlight. Of course, we'll be talking about Bun and Static Hermes.

I'll spare you the heated debates on Twitter this week 😅 let's stick to positive vibes.

For React experts, check out the React Advanced conf in London from 20 to 23 October (-10% - code "REACT10").

Hi everyone!

We're covering 2 weeks of news, including 2 great releases: Astro 3.0 and VisionCamera 3.0. There have also been a lot of interesting articles, so I've had to filter a bit!

Bun 1.0 coming out tonight. I'm curious to see what they have planned. Having tested it on unit tests as a replacement for Jest, it's really very fast.

The React-Native EU conference kicks off today. I spotted some 🐦 very interesting talks, particularly the one on Static Hermes.

For those who want to visit Italy, go to reactjsday in Verona on 27 October 27. The conference is offering -10% on tickets and 2 online/remote tickets to our readers, which I'm giving away to the first 2 people who reply to this email and claim them.

I often forget to mention it here, but I "build in public". You can check out my latest monthly Indie Hackers report and 🐦 more Twitter details.

Hi everyone!

It's been pretty quiet on the React front this week, but we've still got a few nice articles to read.

On the React-Native side, Marc Rousavy is on fire, publishing a number of packages that seem to herald the imminent arrival of VisionCamera v3.

We should have some nice releases soon, like 🐦 Bun 1.0, 🐦 Astro 3.0 and 🐦 TanStack Router.

I'm taking a short break next week, so I'll see you on 6 September 👋

Hi everyone!

This week, we've got many articles from the React and React-Native community, and the latest Expo Launch Party announcements. Some articles are very long, and I didn't have time to read them all.

📷 I've been too busy creating the newsletter's Instagram account! I plan to post visual React news and tips there, including the best memes I couldn't include here 🤭.

🧑 I've also removed the Jobs section, which didn't add much: I'll see later how to reintegrate it.

👥 For React-Native devs: React Native EU (Wrocław/Poland, 7-8 September) is offering us a -15% discount on admissions.

Hi everyone!

I thought this week was going to be pretty quiet, but I found a lot of interesting stuff, both on the React and React-Native side!

The newsletter has just passed 25,000 subscribers! Thank you for reading me every week and allowing me to continue this adventure.

Hi everyone!

Once again this week, we've got some great React articles, especially on Server Components!

Last week, I asked whether you preferred direct links or links to Twitter. Your answer was unanimous: direct links. On top of that, the Twitter/X experience has been degraded for anonymous users who can no longer see the discussions. So I'll try to avoid Twitter links, with a few exceptions for which I'll use the 🐦 emoji.

Hi everyone!

It looks like not everyone is on holiday: there's still plenty of news this week, both on the React and React-Native fronts.

I've got a question for you (you can email me back): would you prefer me to put direct links, or links to tweets?

  • direct: 1-click access to the resource
  • tweet: read related conversations

Hi everyone!

I've just got back from holiday in French Brittany 😎, so we're covering 2 weeks of news in this edition.

I thought it was going to be a quiet summer, but there have been quite a few releases and plenty of articles on Server Components! 😄

Hi everyone!

We've got some great releases this week, with Remotion 4 and Expo SDK 49 in beta. Next.js devs are working on DX optimizations. The articles on React + SVG and VisionCamera are super interesting.

Remotion 4 is on ProductHunt today: don't hesitate to vote! 👍

No newsletter next week, see you on 18 July 👋
