Hi everyone!

I thought this week was going to be pretty quiet, but I found a lot of interesting stuff, both on the React and React-Native side!

The newsletter has just passed 25,000 subscribers! Thank you for reading me every week and allowing me to continue this adventure.

Hi everyone!

Once again this week, we've got some great React articles, especially on Server Components!

Last week, I asked whether you preferred direct links or links to Twitter. Your answer was unanimous: direct links. On top of that, the Twitter/X experience has been degraded for anonymous users who can no longer see the discussions. So I'll try to avoid Twitter links, with a few exceptions for which I'll use the 🐦 emoji.

Hi everyone!

It looks like not everyone is on holiday: there's still plenty of news this week, both on the React and React-Native fronts.

I've got a question for you (you can email me back): would you prefer me to put direct links, or links to tweets?

  • direct: 1-click access to the resource
  • tweet: read related conversations

Hi everyone!

I've just got back from holiday in French Brittany 😎, so we're covering 2 weeks of news in this edition.

I thought it was going to be a quiet summer, but there have been quite a few releases and plenty of articles on Server Components! 😄

Hi everyone!

We've got some great releases this week, with Remotion 4 and Expo SDK 49 in beta. Next.js devs are working on DX optimizations. The articles on React + SVG and VisionCamera are super interesting.

Remotion 4 is on ProductHunt today: don't hesitate to vote! 👍

No newsletter next week, see you on 18 July 👋

Hi everyone!

This week we've had some news about Next.js, which has been getting a lot of criticism recently. Remix is also releasing its new Dev Server with Hot Data Revalidation.

On the React-Native side, the devs are having fun running the latest version on Vision Pro.

Check out React Jam: a contest to create video games in React that starts on 20 July. I'm on the jury.

Hi everyone!

This week has been busier than last. In particular, there have been 2 great releases, one of them I was eagerly waiting for to hit publish!

  • Panda CSS: a very promising CSS-in-JS library
  • React-Native 0.72: great improvements, particularly those related to Metro

Hi everyone!

Well, Dan Abramov is on holiday, which is probably why there hasn't been much happening this week in our beloved ecosystem 😅.

We do, however, have a few interesting articles and a potential official package for integrating React Server Components with Vite.

Hi everyone!

This week, we're celebrating 10 years of React! 🥳️

There have been quite a few interesting articles these last 2 weeks, particularly related to the complexity of introduced with Server Components. Dan Abramov has published some interesting resources on the subject. Remix and Redwood have announced their intention to support RSCs.

On the React-Native side, 3 conferences have been held recently and playlists are becoming available on YouTube. I had a great time at the React-Native-Connection, a new React-Native conference in Paris. Thanks to everyone who came and made this first edition a success.

So cool, the newsletter won a React Open Source Award at the React Summit conference! Thanks to everyone who voted for me, I wasn't expecting to win given the other nominees 😆

Hi everyone!

Here we are with 2 weeks of React news. There are quite a few good React articles, and also some very interesting React-Native announcements related to the conferences that took place recently. Between Remix Conf, App.js, Chain React... it's hard to keep up with everything, not to mention React-Native-Connection and React Summit next week!

Data fetching libraries like React-Query and Apollo are wondering about their integration with Server Components and Next.js App Router. We start to see more clearly.

The newsletter is skipping another week: next issue on June 7th 👋
